What is the online client portal for?

Our client portal helps you deliver a high quality experience for your clients, using the latest digital standards. You stay in control of access while clients have the reassurance they can self-serve high level plan information.

 

 

What is the client snapshot report?

Client snapshot enables you to share a modern, easy to understand and engaging view of your clients' portfolio with them. It shows a simplified snapshot of the valuation, performance and money movements. You can access the snapshot tool in the Performance tab in the client portal.

 

 

How do I use income and withdrawal reports?

MI reports can be found in the Client Base tab. These reports are designed to help you manage and support your clients taking an income by improving efficiency and oversight.

The first report shows historical income and withdrawals over a specified date range and the second report shows all active regular pending payments.

The value of investments can go down as well as up, and may be worth less than originally invested.

How to configure client portal

This video shows you how to set up client portal for your firm, configure client access levels and how to register.

This tutorial covers the following:

Over the last few months we’ve introduced a series of enhancements that will help improve the client experience.

Driven by adviser feedback, the improvements focus on digital security, a new engaging client portal and reporting:

Setting up the client portal for my firm

Any admin user in your firm can configure access for your clients.

Go to: Admin > Client Portal > Configure My Client Portal.

There is a simple step-by-step process:

  • Add firm logo (optional)
  • Add firm contact details (optional)
  • Set return calculation (Simple or IRR)
  • Set asset view (tier 1, tier 2 or no asset class)

1) Add your firm’s logo

  • Select yes
  • Click and drag your logo to selected area
  • Or click on button to browse for your logo

2) Add your contact details

  • Select yes
  • Fill in the form
  • Click next

3) Set the asset level split the client will see

  • Make a selection and click next

4) Set the performance return calculation

  • Select an option: Simple or IRR (Internal Rate of Return)
  • Make a selection and click next

What different access levels are available?

  1. Client Basic: Valuation summary and documents
  2. Client Standard: Valuation summary, documents, investments (including insights) and performance
  3. Client Advanced: Valuation summary, documents, investments (including insights), performance and transaction history
Registering for the client portal

Before logging in for the first time, your client will receive an automated welcome email from Standard Life.

The client then follows the simple instructions that explains how to get started.

How to access the client portal on Wrap

This video shows you where to find the client portal on Wrap and how to produce summary reports.

  • Our client portfolio report has been designed to the latest digital standards
  • Share a modern, easy to understand and engaging view of your clients’ portfolio
  • It shows a simplified snapshot of the valuation, performance and money movements
How to access the client portfolio report on Wrap
  • Go to the Clients -> Performance -> Summary in Wrap
  • You can select the date range you want the reports to cover by entering your preferred dates in the From and To fields
  • The Return Basis will also be shown on the Client portfolio report
  • Selecting the Quick Report button will produce a client portfolio report for the date range you’ve entered.

This report is accessible on screen and a copy is also saved to the document library ready for you to share with your client.

Here’s what the final report looks like
  • Opening Value – This is the portfolio value at the very start of he date range chosen.
  • Closing Value – The value at the end date specified using the most recent fund prices we hold at that time.
  • Change in Value – This shows the change in value over the period. It is the difference between the closing and opening values, less any payments, charges and withdrawals.
  • Money-In – Shown as a total value across the product (top table) and also split per product under Product Information
  • Money Out – shown as a total value across the product (top table) and also split per product under Product Information
  • Return % - Change in value illustrated as a % return, based on either Simple or IRR
  • Account Transfer – This includes the value of any transfers of cash between the various tax wrapper subaccounts – such as movements from Wrap Cash to ISA.

The report shows a summary of the client’s investment performance.

The report also provides a more detailed view of investment performance over the date range selected.

The examples used are for illustrative purposes only. No assumptions regarding future performance should be made.

How to access the income and withdrawal reports on Wrap

Learn how to get the most out of the available income and withdrawal reports.

These reports are designed to help you manage and support clients taking an income.

They provide a firm level view to improve efficiency and oversight.

How to access the income and withdrawal MI reports on Wrap

The reports are run from the Client Base tab on Wrap and are designed to help you manage and support clients taking an income.

  • Go to the Client Base -> Reports -> Reports request
  • Then select the Income and Withdrawals report from the dropdown menu.
Report outputs

There are two outputs you can choose from Income and Withdrawals Instruction Report

The first report shows the income and withdrawal instructions report that includes all active regular pending payments for ISA, Personal Portfolio and SIPP.

The second report contains details of income and withdrawals. You can view any historical income, withdrawals, dividends, etc. over a certain selected data range at Wrap or product level.

It contains all the relevant income you need; including income type, gross and net amount, how it is taken, next payment date, etc. The report doesn’t include bond data.

The reports are available 24 hours after being requested and can be viewed at Client Base -> Reports -> Reports Request.
